  • New Martin Mateos - Understanding NMM: Painting Reflective Materials

Verko's Vault Martin Mateos - Understanding NMM: Painting Reflective Materials

    12 in stock

In this workshop, we’ll explore how reflective materials work and how understanding the fundamentals of reflection can help us create more realistic and complex NMM. We’ll study real-life examples of metallic and reflective surfaces, breaking them down to understand what we’re actually seeing and why light behaves the way it does. From there, we’ll translate that knowledge into miniature painting, using what we’ve learned to approach our own NMM surfaces with greater accuracy, realism, and confidence. The goal is not simply to paint metal, but to understand why it looks like metal—and learn how to recreate that illusion on our miniatures.Teacher Bio: Martín Mateos “Feral” is a Spanish miniature painter and box artist. His work focuses on understanding light, color, textures, and reflective materials, with an emphasis on creating natural and believable surfaces.
