The King Fisher Bird The common kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) also known as the Eurasian kingfisher, and river kingfisher, is a small kingfisher with seven subspecies recognized within its wide distribution across Eurasia and North Africa. It is resident in much of its range, but migrates from areas where rivers freeze in winter. This sparrow-sized bird has the typical short-tailed, large-headed kingfisher profile; it has blue upperparts, orange underparts and a long bill. It feeds mainly on fish, caught by diving, and has special visual adaptations to enable it to see prey under water. The glossy white eggs are laid in a nest at the end of a burrow in a riverbank.

RobotRocket Miniatures The Koala
The koala (Phascolarctos cinereus, or, inaccurately, koala bear[a]) is an arborealherbivorous marsupial native to Australia. It is the only extantrepresentative of the family Phascolarctidae and its closest living relatives are the wombats, which comprise the family Vombatidae.[4]. The koala is found in coastal areas of the mainland’s eastern and southern regions, inhabiting Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. It is easily recognisable by its stout, tailless body and large head with round, fluffy ears and large, spoon-shaped nose. The koala has a body length of 60–85 cm (24–33 in) and weighs 4–15 kg (9–33 lb). Pelage colour ranges from silver grey to chocolate brown. Koalas from the northern populations are typically smaller and lighter in colour than their counterparts further south. These populations possibly are separate subspecies, but this is disputed. The latest addition to our ThisLife range. The Koala is 40 mm in length, Total length including branch is 105mm. Sculpted By – Peder Bartholdy. Box Art By – Josua Lai. Casted By – BrokenToad Figure cast in high quality polyurethane resin. Supplied unpainted and will require assembly. Recommended for ages 14 and over, May be harmful if chewed or swallowed.

RobotRocket Miniatures The Parson's Chameleon
The Parson’s Chameleon (Calumaa Pasonii) Among the largest chameleons in the world (usually considered the largest by weight, but shorter than the Malagasy Giant Chameleon which holds the title for the largest by length), C. parsonii males have ridges running from above the eyes to the nose, forming two warty horns. There are two recognized subspecies: The widespread Calumma p. parsonii reaches up to 68 cm (27 in) in total length (including tail), about the size of a cat, and has no dorsal crest. Calumma p. cristifer, from near Andasibe, reaches 47 cm (18 1⁄2 in), and has a small dorsal crest.[4][5] Several colour variants are known within the range typically included in the nominate subspecies, but it is unclear if they are best considered morphs or different subspecies (at present, most consider them morphs). This includes “orange eye” aka “white-lipped” (generally considered typical of the nominate subspecies), where the male is relatively small and mainly green or turquoise but with yellow or orange eyelids; “yellow lip” where the male is somewhat larger and mainly green or turquoise, but with a yellow edge to the mouth; “yellow giant” where the male is very large and overall yellowish (strongly marked with dusky when stressed); and “green giant” where the male is overall green. Males of C. p. cristifer are overall green or turquoise.[4] Females of both subspecies are smaller than the males and overall greenish, yellowish or brownish (often with an orange tinge). The latest addition to our ThisLife range. Chameleon is 55mm in length, Total length including branch is 100mm Sculpted By – Peder Bartholdy. Box Art By – Josua Lai. Casted By – BrokenToad Figure cast in high quality polyurethane resin. Supplied unpainted and will require assembly. Recommended for ages 14 and over, May be harmful if chewed or swallowed.

RobotRocket Miniatures The Orangutan
The orangutans (also spelled orang-utan, orangutang, or orang-utang) are three extant species of great apes native to Indonesia and Malaysia. Orangutans are currently only found in the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. Classified in the genusPongo, orangutans were originally considered to be one species. From 1996, they were divided into two species: the Bornean orangutan (P. pygmaeus, with three subspecies) and the Sumatran orangutan (P. abelii). In November 2017 it was reported that a third species had been identified, the Tapanuli orangutan (P. tapanuliensis). Genomic comparisons show that the Tapanuli orangutan separated from the Sumatran orangutan about 3.4 million years ago. The Tapanuli orangutan separated from the Bornean orangutan much later, about 670,000 years ago. The orangutans are the only surviving species of the subfamily Ponginae, which also included several other species, such as the three extinct species of the genus Gigantopithecus, including the largest known primate, Gigantopithecus blacki. The ancestors of the Ponginae split from the main ape line in Africa 16 to 19 million years ago (Mya) and spread into Asia. Orangutans are the most arboreal of the great apes and spend most of their time in trees. Their hair is reddish-brown, instead of the brown or black hair typical of chimpanzees and gorillas. Males and females differ in size and appearance. Dominant adult males have distinctive cheek pads and produce long calls that attract females and intimidate rivals. Younger males do not have these characteristics and resemble adult females. Orangutans are the most solitary of the great apes, with social bonds occurring primarily between mothers and their dependent offspring, who stay together for the first two years. Fruit is the most important component of an orangutan’s diet; however, the apes will also eat vegetation, bark, honey, insects and even bird eggs. They can live over 30 years in both the wild and captivity. Orangutans are among the most intelligent primates; they use a variety of sophisticated tools and construct elaborate sleeping nests each night from branches and foliage. The apes have been extensively studied for their learning abilities. There may even be distinctive cultures within populations. Field studies of the apes were pioneered by primatologist Birutė Galdikas. All three orangutan species are considered to be critically endangered. Human activities have caused severe declines in populations and ranges. Threats to wild orangutan populations include poaching, habitat destruction as a result of palm oil cultivation, and the illegal pet trade. Several conservation and rehabilitation organisations are dedicated to the survival of orangutans in the wild. 1/11 bust. Sculpted by – Peder Bartholdy. Box art – Josua Lai. Cast By – BrokenToad. Figure cast in high quality polyurethane resin. Supplied unpainted and will require assembly. Recommended for ages 14 and over, May be harmful if chewed or swallowed.

RobotRocket Miniatures Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish)
Siamese fighting fish The Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens), also known as the betta, is a freshwater fish native to Thailand (formerly Siam) and present in neighboring Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, and Vietnam. While colloquially known and marketed in the global aquarium tradeas the “betta”, it is one of 73 species in the genus Betta. Siamese fighting fish are among the most popular and widely available aquarium fish in the world, due to their varied and vibrant colour, diverse morphology, and relatively low maintenance.[2][3] Mostly concentrated in Thailand’s Chao Phraya river basin, bettas were discovered in the still waters of canals, rice paddies and floodplains, where they are still found; they have been kept and bred since at least the mid-19th century, and possibly much earlier.[4]Their famously vibrant colours, large and flowy fins, and aggressive behaviour are the result of generations of intensive artificial selection, for which they are sometimes known as “designer fish of the aquatic world”.[5] Bettas are well known for being highly territorial, with males prone to attacking each other if housed in the same tank; without a means of escape, this will usually result in the death of one or both fish. Female bettas can also become territorial towards one other in too small of an aquarium.[6] Bettas are exceptionally tolerant of low oxygen levels and poor water quality, owing to their special labyrinth organ, a characteristic unique to the suborder Anabantoidei that allows for the intake of air.[7] In addition to its worldwide popularity, the Siamese fighting fish is the national aquatic animal of Thailand, due to its historical and cultural significance.[8][9] Thailand remains the primary breeder and exporter of bettas for the global aquarium market. Despite their abundance as pets, B. splendens is listed as “vulnerable” by the IUCN, due to increasing pollution and habitat destruction. Miniature type : Full figure. Scale : The body of the fish without fins is 50mm in length. Parts : 8. Sculpted by : Peder Bartholdy. Box Art : Jakob Skovgaard Villien. Cast by : Deep Space. Figure cast in high quality polyurethane resin. Supplied unpainted and will require assembly. Recommended for ages 14 and over, May be harmful if chewed or swallowed.
