This workshop will focus on developing intermediate to advanced miniature painting skills through a complete, structured approach on a smaller-scale piece (75mm). We will work in depth on:
- Skin tones, exploring contrasts, temperature, value structure, tonal variations and realism.
- Non-metallic metal (NMM) will be covered with an emphasis on light placement and sharp value control.
- Techniques for texture and material distinction, including surfaces such as leather, fur, wood, bone and worn materials.
- Colour theory will be applied throughout the process to ensure harmony and visual impact, alongside composition principles to guide focal points and readability at scale.
The goal is to refine brush control, improve decision-making, and strengthen your overall painting process on a compact piece where every choice matters.
Albert Moreto Font Albert Moreto Font is a painter and sculptor of fantasy miniatures based in Barcelona. He began painting at age ten and has gone on to become one of the most decorated competitors in miniature painting, holding three Golden Demon Slayer Swords — won in 2006, 2023, and 2025 — along with Best of Painting and Best of Fantasy at Monte San Savino. He is known for his ultra-refined finish, sophisticated use of color and light, and extensive kitbashing and sculpting work.

What to Bring: Your preferred brushes and paints. Everything else is provided, including classroom paints, palettes, and lighting. Our retail store is on-site and stocked with brushes, paints, and supplies in case you need anything on the day.

Museum Preview: All workshop attendees will receive an exclusive preview tour of Verko's Vault Museum before we open to the public later this year.
