Templar Standard Bearer Acre, 1191
The Siege of Acre (1189–1191) was a turning point of the Third Crusade. The Knights Templar — officially endorsed by Rome in 1129, one of Christendom's most powerful military-financial orders — formed the core of Richard the Lionheart's forces. This 75mm figure depicts a veteran Templar standard bearer whose surcoat and banner can be painted in a wide array of heraldic schemes.
