Cast in high quality resin, the figure shows the soldier resting on a wicker gabion between bombardments, sponge staff in hand and musket slung over his shoulder, ready to return to the guns at a moment’s notice. The dark blue coat with red facings, yellow lace and black gaiters reflects the distinctive colours associated with British artillery during the mid eighteenth century and ties the miniature directly to the famous Minden campaign. His expression invites careful work on skin.
