These are not traditional whites. Each tone is shifted toward cool blues, greens, violets, and muted neutrals so you can build light that feels atmospheric, integrated, and intentional. Muted Moon is especially useful for night scenes, shaded environments, cool skin lighting, fabrics, metallics, moonlight, and subtle environmental reflections. Included Colors (Cool Light Blender Palette) Green TeaSoft muted green light for cool reflections, skin shifts, cloth, and atmospheric effects CelestePale blue light for sky influence, cold highlights, and soft environmental glow Uranian SkyCool blue highlight tone for moonlit effects, ice, fabric, and metallic reflections LavenderMuted violet light for cool skin highlights, shadow transitions, and fantasy lighting Dusty RoseSoft desaturated rose for subtle warmth inside cool schemes and delicate skin modulation Titan BuffMuted off-white neutral for controlled brightening and softened highlights Together, these inks form a cool highlight system that lets you raise value while preserving depth. Layering: Apply thin coats to build gradual value transitions without chalkiness. Glazing: Dilute for subtle cool light effects and chromatic modulation. Atmospheric Light: Add moonlight, sky reflection, night-scene influence, and cold environmental color. Focal Points: Push highlights while keeping the effect soft, balanced, and realistic. Airbrush: Thin with water or acrylic thinner for cool filters, gradients, and lighting passes. Velvet Light Blender – Muted Moon Set gives miniature painters a refined way to paint cool light: softer than white, more atmospheric than gray, and far more controlled than improvised highlight mixes.

Six Satin Acrylic Inks for Warm Light, Soft Highlights & Controlled Color Temperature Velvet Light Blender – Blushing Sun Set is a warm light-blending palette designed to help painters build highlights with temperature, atmosphere, and subtle chromatic control. These are not standard whites. Each color is pre-shifted toward soft warmth, allowing you to brighten colors without flattening them or making them look chalky. Use them on their own, mix them into other acrylics, or apply them in thin translucent layers to create highlights that feel integrated into the model rather than sitting on top of it. Blushing Sun is especially useful for skin, cloth, leather, warm reflected light, magical glow, sunlit scenes, and focal-point highlights. Included Colors (Warm Light Blender Palette) VanillaSoft warm ivory for gentle highlights and natural light transitions ChampagneWarm luminous beige for skin, cloth, and refined highlight mixes Aged LinenMuted warm off-white for fabric, parchment, bone, and aged surfaces PorcelainDelicate pale tone for controlled brightening without harsh white contrast MelonSoft peach-pink light for skin warmth, blush, and warm reflected color ApricotWarm orange-tinted light for sunlit highlights, glow effects, and atmospheric warmth Together, these inks form a warm highlight system that lets you push value while keeping color alive. What You Get 6 × 15 ml concentrated satin acrylic inks Precision dropper bottles for repeatable dosing Agitator ball in each bottle for fast, consistent mixing Smooth satin finish for controlled layering, glazing, and blending Why This Set Works Highlights are not just about making a color brighter. Light has temperature. Blushing Sun gives painters a controlled way to: Create warm highlights without chalkiness Brighten skin, cloth, leather, and organic surfaces naturally Add sunlit warmth and reflected light Build softer transitions than pure white allows Guide focal points with color, not just contrast Techniques & Applications Mixing & Highlighting: Mix into acrylic paints to create warmer, smoother highlight tones. Layering: Apply thin coats to build gradual value transitions with better color control. Glazing: Dilute for soft chromatic light effects and subtle warmth. Atmospheric Light: Add sunlit influence, reflected warmth, and environmental storytelling. Focal Points: Push key areas brighter without creating harsh, artificial contrast. Airbrush: Thin with water or acrylic thinner for warm filters, gradients, and lighting passes. Velvet Light Blender – Blushing Sun Set gives miniature painters a smarter way to paint warm light: softer than white, richer than beige, and far more useful than guessing your way through highlights.

“Ithil, light of dawn” 1:10 Bust. Sculpture: Trần Hùng AnhCast: CMABox art: Arnau Lazaro Supplied unpainted and unassembledNot suitable for kids under 14 years old Ithil stood at the window of the ivory tower, her gaze drifting across the rolling hills and ancient forests that stretched to the horizon. The light of dawn painted the world in hues of gold and pink, casting a gentle glow on her delicate features. As she watched the sun rise, Ithil felt a familiar melancholy settle over her. For centuries, she had watched countless dawns break, each one a testament to the unending passage of time. The beauty of the world remained unchanged, but her immortal heart carried the weight of memories that stretched beyond human comprehension. Her friends and loved ones had come and gone like the seasons, their lives brief but bright. Ithil cherished their memories, yet she longed for the simplicity of a mortal life, where each moment was precious and fleeting.

  • Egg Painting Handles Egg Painting Handles

    Artis Opus Egg Painting Handles

    1 review

Artis Opus is proud to present our new Painting Handle! With so many handles already in existence, we've taken our time to try and release what we think is the perfect painting handle solution for you to enjoy the hobby!Whilst these handles providing the perfect beautiful plinth to place down and sit back to survey your progress, we didn't expect that they would be so motivating to pick back up and start painting again! Our initial release will have a range of three handles - Small (Hen), Medium (Duck) and Large (Goose). Fun fact! These handles share the same dimensions of the actual average bird eggs! Borrowing these wonderful dimensions from nature resulted in an unmatched level of ergonomics; these really feel at home in your hand! To cater for differing levels of accessibility and hand sizes, these three sizes offer control for what you think would fit your hand the best.  What's included in the package?- 1x Painting Handle Egg (in your chosen size)- 1x Regular cork - 1x Magnetised cork- 1x metal disc pre-fitted with double sided tape, that fits a 28mm base perfectly,What about extras? In testing, we've found that painters have numerous requirements for how they would best like to paint. Moving between models quickly? Perhaps multiple handles suit you best... Batch painting 20x minis? I like to use one handle with the magnet cork, and fix metal plates to the 20 minis to quickly swap between them... so we're also releasing some accessories to add to your handle which are as follows: - 5x Regular corks, available in S, M & L- 5x Magnetised corks, available in S, M & L- 10x Metal discs (prefitted with double sided tape)Curious to know about the product development? Here's the story...What if miniature holders were designed for holding..? When we started on the journey of making our model holders two years ago we felt that this was the only question we needed to answer, having not found something to our liking out there we disregarded the options available on the market. We bought a lathe, Byron swiftly broke a pillar drill in record time (drill press, American brothers <3), and we started making prototypes out of stacked high-grade birch ply (something which we know and love). Two options were swiftly ruled out: ‘screwdriver’ handles (minis aren’t screwdrivers), and ‘shot glass’ shaped things (minis don’t ‘spill’, and being able to moving them about is very important for getting the right angle). We definitely didn’t want something precarious, especially once a mini is added to the top it’s easy for something to become top-heavy. Finally, and of great importance we felt that anyone with big hands has been largely overlooked. What did this leave? What’s nice to hold, comes in different sizes, and feels solid? Pebbles! There was no disagreement on how a nice pebble (of whatever size matched) felt in the hand, we needed something symmetrical though, and easy to hold, it was at this point the ‘what about an Egg’ jokes began. Little did we know we’d almost arrived at our final design… We just had to work out how to make this from wood, whilst conveniently holding a mini/part. Attaching your miniature? We didn’t feel there was too much need to re-invent the wheel here, many of you will paint your minis on corks, magnetized, pinned, or tack’d. Asides from the corks being a bit blocky at the bottom them making up the material the mini attached to was unanimously agreed to be a good idea. We wanted to work out some efficient methods for the batch-painters out there, and whenever possible we wanted changing/swapping to be a 1-1.5hand procedure (we don’t like putting our brushes down). Corks kept on getting stuck though (it’s what they’re designed to do) 😅😅😅 It was at this point after some discussion Byron started exploding current and previous prototypes, attempting to hollow them out, and we had to make the difficult decision to leave our beloved plywood behind… Time to build casting facilities, eek. Casting in house?! With no little-effort casting was learned, and experimenting begun. With a lot of tweaking and consideration the Eggs as we now know them rapidly took form, and took on a life of their own. With this added flexibility we played with finish (including literally copying eggshell), but swiftly realized that you must be able to turn your holder easily, just like your brush. Satin-gloss was settled upon, hollow (slightly wider/narrower options depending on which way ‘up’ it was used), and we only had one task remaining. What about the Army Painters out there? Confident that we’d made a fantastic option for ‘fancy’ painting, and a shape (size-depending) that would work for everyone we looked to science for a bit of help. Army painting requires a lot of swapping and switching, and while we may end up with 5 of our favourite Egg size on our desk eventually we needed to work out a set-up for those of you with infantry blocks to batch-paint. Enter-magnets 🧲🧲🥰 Cork inserts with magnets are available! Corks can be popped out from below with a thumb (without even needing to drop your brush!), and figures easily swapped over, a ferrous disc come with each holder, and is available separately. Backed with ultra-sticky high-grade double-sided tape the disks fit perfectly under/inside 28mm GW bases, a strong, but not too-strong bond holds it there perfectly. Your mini can be spun on the magnet, without it coming off. If your miniatures are already magnetized you can put the disc on the cork, and use that to hold your minis. You can also put a magnet-cork in the bottom of your holder, and use that to keep your minis attached to any metal tray/ruler/surface on your desk to avoid things falling over!We hope you'll enjoy using your new handle for many years to come! Here are some specifications:Small (Hen)Handle - 47mm (tall) x 39mm (widest point)Cork - 23.5mm (tall) x 19mm (widest point)Weight - 46g (w/cork), 42g (bare) Medium (Duck) Handle - 57mm (tall) x 46mm (widest point)Cork - 32mm (tall) x 25.5mm (widest point)Weight - 64g (w/cork), 60g (bare)Large (Goose)Handle - 65mm (tall) x 54mm (widest point)Cork - 32mm (tall) x 30mm (widest point)Weight - 96g (w/cork), 88g (bare)

    1 review

Nyria moved through the city like a shadow. In Eris’s crowded night markets, people swore they saw a flicker of silver hair or heard the faintest brush of leather—yet when they turned, nothing remained. She stole because the city demanded it. Gold kept her invisible. Blades kept her alive. And reputation kept fools at bay. But for all her sharp smiles and sharper knives, Nyria wasn’t carving out a kingdom of thieves. She was carving out a way out. Every coin she lifted, every noble she fooled, every thug she slipped past—it all went to the small, crumbling building behind the apothecary. The one with the cracked roof. The one with the children who still believed morning would bring something better. Nyria laughed when people called her heartless. Let them. They didn’t need to know that Eris’s most feared rogue spent her nights teaching orphans how to hold daggers the right way—or how to read, depending on the kid. But sometimes, when the moonlight hit the streets just right, she whispered her real dream to the dark: One day I’ll leave this city. Buy a cheap lute. Sing in a quiet inn where no one knows my name For now, though, Eris needed Whisper step. 1:10 Bust. Arnau Miniatures Contours of the Nude: A Study of Anatomy

Arnau:Since I started in this hobby, I have always been drawn to anatomy. Painting muscles and skin has always been a source of enjoyment for me, but I often felt I had to search across brands and models to find a body that was both accurate and inspiring. Now, together with Leila, I have had the chance to begin a line of studies—and that’s exactly what this is: a study, for both of us, and potentially for you as well. We wanted to understand the pose, the skin, the distribution of fat and muscle that shaped this person, and for that we worked from a real model, using 360-degree photography to grasp and capture the sense of reality. At the same time, I didn’t want to be limited by reality alone. That’s why we introduced a touch of fantasy into the characters, allowing us to explore not only the natural human form but also imaginary variations: alternative skin tones, different settings, and more evocative situations. In the end, this collection is meant as both a tool and an inspiration—a way to study, to learn, and to enjoy the timeless beauty of the human form. It is also an invitation to look closer, to explore the subtle language of the body, and to imagine new worlds through it. 1:10 Bust.
