He had chosen a life of solitude roaming the lands searching for answers to difficult and perplexing questions. Upon his travels by land and sea he came upon a disheveled old man a poor hermit besides himself with grief and sadness.
“In these lands of old, there is a dragon that every day demands the sacrifice of a beautiful young girl. All the maidens of this land have been brutally sacrificed…all that is left is the king's own daughter. In desperation the King is offering his daughters hand in marriage lest he manages to save her life!”
Saint George could smell the death in the air, this place of torture and decay was strewn with broken swords, torn dresses, and shattered bones. The princess stood forlorn and desolate awaiting her impending doom, Saint George approached her and softly said “go home, return to your father”.
Upon seeing Saint George the dragon charged with unyielding power and speed. Saint George raised his spear and charged fearlessly towards the beast…only for his spear to shatter into one thousand pieces the moment it touched the dragon’s scales…a great battle ensued, Saint George smote the dragon with his sword and the dragon unleashed venomous chards upon the brave knight. In a last-ditch attempt Saint George lunged blindly for the dragon, the sword plunged deep into the soft underbelly… gathering his last ounce of strength Saint George stood up and beheaded the foul beast.
Tired and aching, but victorious Saint George got back on his horse and made his way to the Palace….a beautiful maiden awaited him!

The crusades have been going on for over 110 years, like his father before him, he had fought in countless battles on countless worlds and slaughtered countless enemy soldiers. He had been wounded numerous times, his armor was worn, scratched and damaged and the accolades adorning it were tattered.
His sword was sharp ready to cut down the enemy…but was his faith still sharp, was it willing? Had all the death and torment he had seen and caused taken a toll on him? Were the scars on his body weakening his spirit? Was his true faith being tested?
As he stood on a cliff face overlooking the capital city of Montreria, he looked into the distance contemplating about life. Tomorrow he would be storming the city walls, the last stronghold before the planet fell, another crusade, another conquest, another battle.
He snapped out of this lethargy, his rank was “Eternal Crusader”, he had an obligation to the cause, to his men, to his God to continue the battle. He would slaughter the enemy today, tomorrow, for all eternity. An “Eternal Crusader” only rests when in the arms of God.

The time had finally come, she slowly knelt beside him and lovingly whispered her name in his ear “THANATOS”. He gave a long sigh of relief and surrendered his soul and body to the angel of death.
She was eternal, she existed since the beginning of time, ever since the first light broke the silence of the eternal darkness. If “GENESIS” was the beginning, then she was the “end”. No one could withstand her, refuse her, deny her, she was finality and inevitability personified.
She had taken on thousands of forms and names over the centuries, Yamaraja, Azra'il, Banshee, Grim Reaper, Santa Muerte, Mot, Maweth, Gabriel, Samael, but her one true name was “THANATOS”.
Beautiful, beguiling, charming, mesmerizing, hypnotic, incandescent, malevolent, vindictive, ruthless, and merciless are just some of the words used to describe her.
But the truth is “THANATOS” is inevitable for everyone.

The concept of the "Charlie and Jackie" miniature is based on the famous Charlie Chaplin film “The Kid”.
The Kid is a 1921 American silent comedy/drama film, written, produced, and directed by Charlie Chaplin. Also starring in the production, Charlie Chaplin plays the tramp and Jackie Coogan his adopted son and sidekick. They get into plenty f mischief and trouble providing the audience with plenty of laughs as well as poignant moments.
Innovative in its combination of comedic and dramatic elements, The Kid is widely considered one of the greatest films of the silent era.

After the first battles of 1940, Italian Military Command received some peculiar reports; Greek soldiers with a strange appearance, fearless in battle, impetuous and unaffected by gun fire. The designation "Diaboli Maledetti!" (Cursed Devils!) was mentioned on more than one occasion.
In 1937, with the clouds of war hovering above Europe once again, an extraordinary secret meeting is held somewhere in Athens. King George, John Metaxas, Constantine Karatheodoris (distinguished mathematician, physicist and archaeologist), and General Alexandros Papatakis are present. The topic at hand – the lack of reserves as well as the expected high rate of casualties during frontline operations in the event of war.
In order to secure supremacy and based on the experiences of the Balkan wars, they decide to re-ignite the secret "Lazarus I" program. This foretells the creation - with the help of science - of an "indestructible" army of resurrected men, who under the guidance of the spiritualist Angelos Tanagras will be transformed into war machines, who will obediently carry out their orders, ruthlessly slaughtering the enemy.
The rest is History!

It is said that mankind is not alone on this earth. Written in this diary are the accounts of the horrors that the Order of Cthulhu has spread all over the world. Dating back to ancients times, The Order has always found ways to corrupt the souls of lesser men to give them as offering to their Gods. As a reward, some humans in the highest echelons of hierarchy were given the privilege to transform into their Gods' image. They started turning into creatures with tentacles, skin sometimes hard, sometimes secreting some sort of mucus. They also gained immortality. Through the centuries The Order and its practitioners have slowly but surely started shaping the world into exactly what they want.....The darkness will cover the world. Know them before it is too late.....The Order’s grasp on this world started from ancient Egypt after seducing a High priestess who desired power. Many centuries later during the height of the Roman Empire, The Order desired the skills of soldiers and none were better than Roman centurions. The Order of Cthulhu however, found great pride in turning the holy warriors of the Holy Catholic Church, the Teutonic Knights. Sightings of the dark Order were also recorded in Mexico and Peru where gold and riches were offered to the Conquistadors in exchange for their souls. Among the Order's ranks were also Samurai, drenched in blood feeding off the mutilated bodies of their enemies.
Centurion: Fighting in the cold and dark mountains of Germania, he was offered as a sacrifice to the Great Old Ones. However, seeing his fighting spirit, he was transformed, forever to obey the commands of The Order and do their dark bidding.

Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (7th Son of a 7th Son) is the seventh studio album by Iron Maiden. It was released on 11 April 1988 in the United Kingdom by EMI Records and in the United States by Capitol Records. Like The Number of the Beast (1982) and later Fear of the Dark (1992), The Final Frontier (2010), and The Book of Souls (2015), the album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. The lead single "Can I Play with Madness" was also a commercial success, peaking at No. 3 in the UK Singles Chart.
A concept album inspired by the novel Seventh Son by Orson Scott Card, the record incorporates elements of progressive rock, seen in the length and complex structure of the title track. It was also the first Iron Maiden album to feature keyboards, after the band had introduced non-keyboard synth effects on their previous LP, Somewhere in Time (1986).
Following the album's release, the band embarked on the Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour in which Derek Riggs' cover artwork was recreated on stage. The band played over 100 shows, including the Monsters of Rock festival at Donington Park, and recorded the Maiden England video at Birmingham's NEC. From 2012–2014, the band revisited the Seventh Son era on their Maiden England World Tour.
The brief given to Derek Riggs (the group's then regular artist) was, unlike with previous albums, to create "simply something surreal and bloody weird". Riggs confirms that "they said they wanted one of my surreal things. 'It's about prophecy and seeing into the future, and we want one of your surreal things.' That was the brief ... I had a limited time to do the picture, and I thought it was pretty weird their concept, so I just went with that."
Dickinson states that the idea to set the painting in a polar landscape may have originated from when he showed Riggs a Gustave Doré piece, depicting traitors frozen in a lake of ice in the ninth circle of Dante's Inferno. In contradiction of this, Riggs states that the setting was because he "might have just seen a documentary about the North Pole or something ... I wanted something that was a departure from all the cityscapes and things. It was about prophecy and seeing the future, and so I just wanted something distant. And then they said, on the back, 'Could you stick all the other Eddies in the ice?' So I did."
Speaking about the depiction of the band's mascot, Eddie, Riggs states that "I thought, you know, I don't feel like painting all of Eddie, so I'll get rid of him. I'll chop him off, and make it look kind of non-pleasant." In addition to the lobotomy and cyborg enhancements, left over from the Piece of Mind and Somewhere in Time album covers respectively, this incarnation also comes with an in utero baby in his left hand and an apple, inspired by the Garden of Eden and featuring a red and green yin and yang. On top of this, Eddie's head is on fire, which Riggs states is "a symbol for inspiration", an idea which he "stole" from Arthur Brown.

The Number of the Beast is the third studio Iron Maiden. It was released on 22 March 1982 in the United Kingdom by EMI Records and in the United States by Harvest and Capitol Records. The album was their first to feature vocalist Bruce Dickinson and their last with drummer Clive Burr.
The Number of the Beast was met with critical and commercial success, and became the band's first album to top the UK Albums Chart and reach the top 40 of the US Billboard 200. The album produced the singles "Run to the Hills" and "The Number of the Beast", the former of which became the band's first top-ten UK single. Since the release of The Number of the Beast, "The Beast" has become an alternate name for Iron Maiden and was later used in the titles of some of their compilations and live releases, including Best of the Beast and Visions of the Beast.
Like all of Iron Maiden's album artwork during the 1980s and early 90s, this one was also painted by Derek Riggs. The cover was originally created for the song "Purgatory", but ended up to be the cover for The Number of the Beast. The original 1982 artwork includes a blue sky in the background; a mistake by the printers of the cover, this was corrected to black when the album was remastered for compact disc in 1998.
The album attracted controversy, particularly in the United States, due to the lyrics of the title track and the cover art depicting Eddie controlling Satan like a puppet, while Satan is also controlling a smaller Eddie. The concept was to ask "who's the really evil one here? Who's manipulating who?". According to Riggs, this was inspired by a Doctor Strange comic book, "which had some big villain with Doctor Strange dangling on some strings like a puppet – it was something I read as a child back in the 1960s, I think," while the images of hell were "taken from my knowledge of medieval European Christian art which was full of such scenes". In addition, Satan was supposed to have wings made out of lightning and smoke (which can still be seen vaguely in the final piece) but due to time constrain, Riggs was unable to complete it as intended. He also made Satan look like Salvador Dalí as a joke.
